Generali Vitality announces the Next Generation of its Wellness Programme
Munich - Generali Vitality, the unique insurance programme that rewards every step taken towards a healthier life, is introducing some exciting new changes: By taking regular exercise, members will be able to earn their Apple Watch® with monthly refunds. In addition, members can earn up to 520€ per annum in weekly rewards with the new Vitality Challenge. These new features are to motivate members to exercise throughout the whole year. These and all other features will be available via a newly designed Vitality app, that will offer a more seamless and unique mobile experience to all Vitality members.
Germany is the first country to introduce the new programme, and Giovanni Liverani, CEO of Generali Deutschland said: “By offering a unique way of promoting physical activity, we are actively helping Europeans to live a more active and healthier lifestyle.” Insufficient physical inactivity leads to some of the most severe health risks in Europe and about half of the European population does not exercise sufficiently. Faced with these trends, the new changes are essentially aimed to boost activity and integrate more exercise in the member’s everyday life.

ACTIVE REWARDS & BENEFIT
The new Apple Watch provides members with the opportunity of receiving monthly repayments for the Apple Watch through regular exercise. Members receive a monthly cash back of up to 20€ each time they achieve a fitness goal over a 24-month period. By reaching the target every month, members can have their Apple Watch fully refunded within two years. This new benefit has already proven very successful in the UK, the USA and Japan, where it has been leading to much higher activity levels among Vitality members, as shown in a recent study.
The Vitality Challenge aims to keep members motivated over time by offering the chance to earn weekly rewards for achieving regular weekly fitness goals. Every time a member reaches his fitness goal, he earns the chance to spin a wheel to reveal a range of exciting rewards from Zalando, Spotify and Amazon that can be redeemed right away. Goals are recalculated every week based on past performance. With the new Vitality-App, members can easily track their progress as they work on reaching goals every week.

Generali Vitality motivates members to live a healthy life. As they engage with the many activities in the programme, they earn Vitality points.
